That's correct! Opteon YF refrigerant (R-1234yf) is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant that was developed as a more environmentally friendly alternative to HFC-134a, the standard refrigerant used in automotive air conditioning systems. The double bond in the HFO molecule makes it much less potent as a greenhouse gas than HFC-134a, leading to a much lower global warming potential (GWP). In addition, HFOs have much shorter lifetimes in the atmosphere than HFCs, further reducing their impact on the environment. As a result, many car manufacturers are now using Opteon YF refrigerant in their air conditioning systems to reduce their overall environmental impact.

I'm a repeat customer with Royal refrigerants and there prices blow away local parts suppliers. Unfortunately they now require signature for delivery which is a bit inconvenient but their price point is worth the hassle.

Life is short

When I filled the brand new machine with your “10” pound cylinder the machine only had 7.34 pounds of refrigerant when completed so the 10 pound cylinder was 2+ pounds short of 10 pounds. I’m sure I’m gunna get some technical terms on why it didn’t have the full 10 pounds and that’s fine. I’ve been a certified technician for 39 years and I’ve heard it all.
You still get 5 stars cuz I know how that works
