That's correct! Opteon YF refrigerant (R-1234yf) is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant that was developed as a more environmentally friendly alternative to HFC-134a, the standard refrigerant used in automotive air conditioning systems. The double bond in the HFO molecule makes it much less potent as a greenhouse gas than HFC-134a, leading to a much lower global warming potential (GWP). In addition, HFOs have much shorter lifetimes in the atmosphere than HFCs, further reducing their impact on the environment. As a result, many car manufacturers are now using Opteon YF refrigerant in their air conditioning systems to reduce their overall environmental impact.

I was a little skeptical at first…

I had never heard of this company before and the price for a 25lb tank of 1234yf seemed too good to be true, but I ordered it to see what would happen. It showed up within a week and was exactly what was described. A Factory sealed Opteon 25LB tank. Will definitely be purchasing from them again in the future.
